Mission Central

Our Mission Team along with Pastor Kelly have decided to support Assist Communities in the fight to end Opioid Addiction in our community. Part of our plan is to become intimately aware of the needs of agencies working in this fight and to learn how ALUCC can get involved. We are inviting all of our church members as well as family and friends to visit the local rehab facilities and to get actively involved.

DONATE YOUR KOHL’S CASH AT CHURCH – collecting until January 19:
We will have a box at the Welcome Center where you can leave Kohl’s Cash you wish to donate.  Designated shoppers from the church will compile the Kohl’s Cash to purchase much needed items for our partner agencies.

If you get your Kohl’s Cash electronically, or like to shop yourself, click on the agencies’ shopping list in our Thursday e-mail update or HERE Kohls cash shopping list to see what is needed that you could buy at Kohl’s and bring to the collection bin at church.

Haven Center Meal Prep

Did you know that ALUCC has a long history of providing dinner the third Saturday of each month for about 65 residents at Lorain County’s only homeless shelter? A very small group of dedicated church members gather at our church kitchen at 2:00 for about an hour on that third Saturday to put together a meal. They could really use more help! Do you have an hour to help with meal prep and spend time with others in fellowship? How about bringing in a dessert, cookies/brownies/cupcakes etc., by noon and mark it for Haven Center. A small gift of time and or a dessert would mean so much for this mission! Thank you!

The Good Neighbor Thrift Shop recently celebrated 40 years and also the opening of a new location at 158 Lear Road.  The store is open Monday through Saturday and has donation drop off doors as well as a bin by the back door of the church. Please come to see our new shop and support this important ministry to our community and our church’s mission ministries!  https://www.facebook.com/goodneighborthriftshop/
