SENIOR HIGH MISSION TRIP:

In early June each summer our Senior High youth participate in a week long mission trip. In 2012, 2016 and 2017 we have coordinated service with Hosanna Industries of Rochester, Pa. Our 2017 trip was “on the road” with Hosanna, where they are working in Richwood, WV.  Hosanna specializes in providing home rehabilitation and new construction services to the communities in greater Pittsburgh. We have traveled to the small community of Neon, KY to work with an organization called H.O.M.E.S. We spent a week working on Overlook Farm, which is owned and operated by Heifer International in Rutland, MA.  In 2011 and 2015 we traveled to to Slidell, LA and worked with Epworth Project helping them rebuild homes devastated by Hurricane Katrina. In June 2014, we visited Lakewood, New Jersey to assist with Superstorm Sandy Recovery along with an organization called A Future With Hope Inc.

JH MISSION TRIP:

For the sixth year in a row we will be taking a group of 7th and 8th graders to Washington U.C.C. in Cincinnati, OH.  We will be spending four days there working with their summer children’s program. We have developed a strong relationship with our friends at Washington U.C.C. We are very grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve alongside the people there. This trip provides a great introduction to mission work. It is close to home, eye-opening and very rewarding. We hope that you will consider joining us for this exciting trip next summer!

SERVICE PROJECT TEAM:

Our Youth Service Project Team is designed to provide our young people with an array of opportunities in our own community to give back, to serve and to help others in need. Whether it’s raking leaves, making holiday cards, cooking meals, stuffing Christmas Stockings or collecting coats for kids….we have a little bit of everything. Any youth currently in grades 6-12 are welcome to join us on any of our upcoming projects. We are always looking for new and different projects in our community to help out with. If you have any suggestions, please let us know!

We believe deeply in serving others and helping our young people to fall completely in love with serving Jesus and serving others. We make a tremendous financial commitment each and every year to providing opportunities for all of our young people to use their talents and abilities to help others and to make this world a better place. Each summer we offer a SH Mission Trip somewhere in the lower 48 and a JH Mission Trip to Cincinnati. Our hope is that each and every student will come to see the power and awesomeness in helping those in need. It was the core of Jesus’ message and it’s at the core of what we do.
