I hate to dispel any myths, but I am not superhuman. As our programs continue to grow and develop we have been in a position to reach out to our church family for help and they have responded enthusiastically. Our Youth Ministry Volunteer Team is composed of about 18 caring and awesome adults that want to make a difference in the lives our young people.

Our volunteers are all required to fill out an application, go through a background check and meet with Rev. Kelly and myself before working with our young people. They are amazing! Everything from preparing meals, designing posters and chaperoning events to leading discussions, developing curriculum and heading up various projects – we are so blessed. We ask that all of our volunteers make a one-year commitment to one of our programs and over the course of the year we meet once a month to plan, to pray and fellowship. If you are interested in being a part of our team, please contact Nate Taylor, nate@avonlakeucc.org for more information.
