November continues our trek into the program year. The first Primary Pandemonium and Mid-High Mayhem happened in October, as did our annual Halloween Party in conjunction with ALUCC's first ever Trunk-or-Treat. With more than 100 kids present, the event was a big success!
The Program Year Marches on....
As the holidays get closer, I know that schedules for busy families will fill up fast. With two teenagers at home, I understand well how difficult it is to have the entire family under one roof (awake, at least!) The Faith Formation Team and I are planning to do a few events this season, including a time when you can drop off your kids here at the church and go out Christmas shopping, and another event where the whole family can participate in a mission opportunity. More news should follow shortly for both of these events.
I want to be sure that you put the annual Christmas Pageant on your calendar. This 20-30 minute play happens on December 15 during the 11am worship service, and is open to children of all ages. I do my best to write a pageant that will really help showcase the incredible talent we have right here in the ALICC family. This is one of the two, large cornerstone events that showcase the ALUCC KIDS Drama Club program. If your child would like to participate, please do fill out the registration form link below so that I can know how many parts we have!
Mid High Mayhem (Youth Group for grades 4 and 5 - November 4) and Primary Pandemonium (Youth Group for kids in grades 2 and 3 November 18) continues this month. Our annual Halloween Party and Costume Contest, complete with prizes, medals and trophies, was a big hit! We gave away over 40 medals and 9 trophies to a great cast of Halloween characters.
Our Annual 3rd Grade Bible Presentation gave free bibles to 19 third graders here in the church, including several new names.
Sunday School is off to a great start for the year as well! Though there is Sunday School available at both services for grades up through 5th, a vast majority of families attend the 11 AM worship service, so there are more children present. Nursery Care is available at 11 as well, and there is a Children's Time during the worship service.
Finally, the annual Christmas Pageant will begin rehearsals near the beginning of this month, so please be sure to indicate your child's interest by following the link.
Hope to see you Sunday!

These apps can be more addictive than regular chatbots because they are capable of human-like conversations and interactions. While some users may find creative enjoyment or temporary emotional support in these tools, even with disclaimers and warnings, there are serious risks of unhealthy attachment and isolation for young, developing minds.
