On Saturday, May 9, 2026 we will be hosting our 17TH Annual Cabin Fever Cornhole Tournament. The event is a one-day fundraiser that brings in over $14,000 for our JH & SH Service Trips each year. The tournament has grown to one of the largest tournaments in NE Ohio.
Our tournament will feature three brackets:
Open: This bracket is designed for everyone who has the confidence and the skills to back it up. This is our largest bracket and our bracket with the most prize money up for grabs. No Premier, Division 1 or Pro Players please.
Backyard: For those out to support a good cause, have a good time all in hopes of securing bragging rights. This is the bracket for you.
Youth: Youth teams consist of one or two players age 14 and under (as of 5.9.26). One player may be 18 years old (as of 5.9.26) or younger. No players over the age of 18 are permitted to play in the youth bracket.
NEW BAG POLICY: In hopes of continuing to attract & retain the best players in the game we are making a change to our bag policy and we are investing in our event. We have purchased all-new, tournament quality bags. Players competing in the OPEN bracket may bring their own bags to our tournament this year. Bags must meet ACL standards and could be subjected to inspection by our tournament officials. Players are permitted to use their own bags for the duration of the tournament. We hope this will foster a more competitve environment and encourage more participation. We will evaluate this policy after our tournament this year and consider modifications.
DONATE: There are two types of donations we need specifically – items for our concession stand and items for our silent auction. Our silent auction depends on the donations of tickets to events, goods, services, items of value, autographs, rentals, etc. in order to generate the money they do every year. If you have something that you would like to donate to our silent auction please contact – Kim Kramhoeller at kramhoellerk@gmail.com.
SPONSOR: Another stream of income for this event is our invitation to local businesses and organizations to be a part of this event through our event sponsorship program. There are several different opportunities for your company to be a part of this year's event. You can sponsor a playing court, an entire room of playing courts, the team number bibs, and the World Record Shot, among many others. Sponsorships range in cost from $250 - $1,500. For more information on how you can become an event sponsor, please contact Nate Taylor at nate@avonlakeucc.org or you can purchase one HERE.
VOLUNTEER: In order to run an event of this size it requires a lot of volunteers. Another opportunity for you to help out at this year’s event is to sign-up to volunteer. We have several different volunteer opportunities including; concessions, registration, tournament central, set-up and tear down, game wardens, runners, texting team, world record shot, greeters, silent auction, 50/50 raffle team and more.
